By 9:00 we had woken up. Actually, the owner lady knocked on our door and Chris made the arrangement about the bill. We all worked on the internet and at around 11:00 Chris and Dea went out to take care of some bike problem. At 12:00 I joined them and had some type of breakfast

After 12:00 we started biking. It took a while to get out of the city, Navigation programs do not work in Georgia, gps does but navigation does not.

At 12 kms of biking we took a watermelon break and then biked on. None of us had slept well and at least myself was not up to it. But a man has to do what a man has to do. That’s all he has to do!!! Youall know that.

After a while we started biking along the side of a big river whose name Ill have to look up. Actually, we biked by a dam

After around 17kms of ride we arrived at a small town called Ahatitstkali. We stopped there because Chris wanted to see some old acquaintanes.

Chris had been there three years ago and had spent two nights as a guest there and wanted to meet his friend. Finding them was a small adventure. Everybody was really helpful but we could not communicate until we found someone that could speak English, actually two of them. They spoke good English because they lived in America. They helped us and even called the number Chris had. They set up an appointment for us in 30 minutes at the church.

We went to the church and waited at a nearby busstop. It took longer than 30 minutes of waiting and then 3 young girls showed up. They were sisters and cousins of the guy whom Chris was looking for.

We went at a nearby coffeeshop and tried to communicate in broken English. Chris’s friend was away to work. That much we understood.

Chris showed them pictures from 3 years ago and that really exited them. A large numer of fellow towns people , including relatives stopped by. Irene, the felllow’s sister insisted that we spend the night at their house. The problem was that we were behind schedule. Nonetheless we agreed and at around 17:00 we got up and started walking towards the home.

It was not that close and it was a steep hill that we went up. The place though was really beautiful and the view beyonnd phantastic. Tomorrow I’ll show it to you.

The girls cooked an excellent dinner for us. We were wonderfully taken care of.

Naturally, a number of neighbors and relatives passed by. Despite the rather big language barrier, it was easy to tell that they were dealing with really nice people.
